    I believe the patent for these used to be with Öster. Different brand now, same great hoof pick. Easiest pick I’ve used in decades, glad Weaver is making them. If you’ve never tried one, buy one and you’ll never want a straight edge pick again.

    I thought this would be good for when my horse has hard packed mud in his hooves. It does the job but it is flimsy and needs to be bent back in shape.

    Not strong enough. Bend's easily

    I just bought this hoof pic bc I like the hook type angle. BUT I've only used it a few times and it's already bending. This hoof pic is not strong enough! The metal bends too easily.

    Favourite shaped hoof pick. Getting harder to find. I don’t what’s wrong with me maybe big hands or whatever, but I find those plastic square shaped ones with the brush on side cut into my hand. I have taken chunks out of my hand with them. The corner of the bush side just cuts in my hand while picking. Especially when you have hard packed in mud or packed in snow and ice. This shape just flick the whole pack out with little effort and very satisfying to see a perfectly round imprint of dried hard mud (or snow) of flying from you horses foot.
