Can this be installed on drywall, or does it need wall studs?

Wall studs required – not suitable for drywall. Standard 16-inch stud spacing. Tools needed: stud finder, drill, level, tape measure (not included). All fixings, instructions and video guide included. Around 20 minutes.

Is the cushion machine washable, and can I buy a replacement?

Hand wash only – not machine washable. The cushion slips off the frame with no tools. Hand wash cold, allow to dry fully, then replace. Replacement cushions available to buy separately from the 7 Ruby Road store.

Is the wood finish safe for cats?

Yes. The frame uses a low-odour, cat-safe finish designed for daily indoor contact. The canvas cushion is odourless. If your cat chews wood furniture, supervise initial use as you would with any new piece of wood furniture.

What type of wood is the frame made from?

Layered plywood – bonded wood veneers pressed together for strength and durability. Stronger and more warp-resistant than single-piece solid wood or MDF. Handles cats leaping on and off daily. Warm neutral finish for modern interiors.
