Each boot contains frozen gel pockets that remain flexible enough to conform around the leg while delivering consistent cooling. A durable neoprene exterior insulates the gel pockets to help them stay colder for longer periods, increasing therapy time and enhancing overall effectiveness.
The smooth nylon lining protects the horse’s skin from direct exposure to ice and helps prevent dirt, shavings, and debris from sticking to the inside of the boots. Extended hook and loop straps make application quick and easy while providing a secure, adjustable fit for most horses.
To use, place the boots in the freezer until fully frozen. They can then be transferred to an ice chest or cooler for convenient use away from the barn. Wet the horse’s leg and the boots before application to maximize cold therapy performance. Recommended treatment time is approximately 20 minutes.
