How does the Control Station alert me when my dog leaves the boundary?

The Control Station beeps when your dog reaches the boundary. If crossed, the beep will keep going until you mute it using the orange button on the station or the app. No correction happens once your dog is back inside the safe zone.

Will the SMART FENCE still work if I am out of Bluetooth range?

Yes, the SMART FENCE will still function, even if you are outside the Bluetooth range. However, you will not receive notifications through your app.

Is there a monthly subscription fee to use the app?

No, our app does not have any monthly fees or subscriptions! All features will be available for free on the app.

Will metal objects affect the boundary I set?

Yes, metal objects can intefere with the boundary signal, which may bend the boundary and reduce its range. To avoid this, mount the Control Station at least 6 feet or higher so the signal can travel over large objects.

Can I check on my dog while I’m away?

No, the DOGTRA SMART FENCE doesn’t provide live tracking or alerts when you leave home. You must be within 33 ft of Bluetooth to get notifications. However, the system still works, and the Control Station will sound even when you’re away.
